Kyla Ebbert in Playboy

Published by Mr. LOL on November 16, 2007 Email This Post Email This Post

After almost being kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight this summer for wearing an outfit deemed too provocative for flying, Kyla Ebbert bares all in an online nude pictorial and video feature for Playboy.com (to view photos and video, log on to http://www.playboy.com beginning Thursday, November 15).

The 23-year-old beauty boarded a flight at San Diego’s Lindberg Field on July 3, and a Southwest employee asked her to change her outfit — a miniskirt, a sweater over a tank-top, and high heels — or get off the plane that was headed to Tucson. Kyla didn’t have any other clothes to change into because she was returning the same day. After she adjusted her clothes to cover herself up more, the Southwest employee relented and let Kyla take the flight. Understandably humiliated by the experience, Kyla concealed herself even more with a blanket during the flight.

Once the media got wind of the story, Kyla found herself modeling the offending clothes everywhere from The Today Show to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to Dr. Phil. And Richard Branson told Kyla she was welcome anytime on his Virgin Airlines plane.

“I definitely have a new airline of choice,” says Kyla, who had been a dedicated Southwest traveler before the incident.

Travis Barker found dead

Published by Mr. LOL on November 16, 2007 Email This Post Email This Post

Theres been a rumor going on that Travis Barker, the Blink-182 & Plus 44 drummer died, and he was found in his garage on November 13th.
Not sure what caused the death if it is true anyway.

So did Travis Barker die?
It would be quite fucked up as its his birthday as well.

Check out the infamous Snare Drum Solo

About Travis:

Travis Landon Barker (born November 14, 1975) is an American drummer, who achieved most of his fame by drumming for the band blink-182. He is currently the drummer for +44 and has also played for side projects Box Car Racer, Transplants and Expensive Taste.

In 1996, Barker joined his first touring band, playing drums for The Aquabats as The Baron Von Tito. He recorded one album with them, The Fury of the Aquabats!, in 1997. His career took off when he joined up with punk rock band, Blink-182 in 1998. Barker became known for his mohawk and his tendency to perform without a shirt, revealing a multitude of tattoos. Barker has since established himself as a versatile drummer, producing and guest appearing in music projects of numerous music genres including hip-hop, punk rock, alternative rock, ska, rap, pop and even country.

His business ventures are as vast as his musical interests. He founded a clothing company, Famous Stars and Straps in 1999, LaSalle Records in 2004, as well as a Wahoo’s Fish Tacos restaurant in Norco, California. Companies such as DC Shoes and Zildjian cymbals have co-designed products in his name. He has used Orange County Custom Drums to create his drum kits since before he became famous.

Apple iPhone Toxicity Dangers

Published by Mr. LOL on November 10, 2007 Email This Post Email This Post

Apple’s problems started with environmental protection advocate Greenpeace issuing a report (PDF) finding the iPhone not up to snuff with its standards of responsible technology.

The irony is that the iPhone showed no traces of cadmium or mercury, typical causes for violation. While the iPhone appears to have met EU and U.S. environmental standards, it did not meet those of Greenpeace. Greenpeace found trace amounts of lead and other carcinogenic compounds in the device.

Lead is a carcinogen and can cause brain damage. Despite a large amount of medical evidence, only one state, California, recognize lead based solders to be carcinogenic.

Caroline Cox is the research director with the California Center for Environmental Health.

Cox: What we really need is more systematic testing by the manufacturers and the suppliers and the retailers. So that people can really have assurance that when they buy something that the product won’t contain toxic chemicals.

Apple says it plans to eliminate PVC — polyvinyl chloride — from its products, including the headphone cables, by the end of next year. Cox says that’s not soon enough to meet California regulations and the Center will sue Apple if it doesn’t correct the problem.

Amy Winehouse gets her US Visa, coming to america

Published by Mr. LOL on November 9, 2007 Email This Post Email This Post

Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse has finally been granted a visa to allow her to work in America.

She was refused entry to the States, following her drugs arrest in Norway in October.

Last week, it was revealed that Amy was going to appeal the drugs charges she received in Norway - after claiming that she didn’t understand that accepting a fine in Norway is the same as pleading guilty – which “could affect her ability to work in the U.S.” - At the time, Amy’s lawyer, Oleg Kvelstad said: “This is an appeal of errors police made in the case, if Amy is allowed to withdraw her acceptance of the fine, her case would likely go to trial.”
