Apple iPhone Toxicity Dangers

Apple’s problems started with environmental protection advocate Greenpeace issuing a report (PDF) finding the iPhone not up to snuff with its standards of responsible technology.

The irony is that the iPhone showed no traces of cadmium or mercury, typical causes for violation. While the iPhone appears to have met EU and U.S. environmental standards, it did not meet those of Greenpeace. Greenpeace found trace amounts of lead and other carcinogenic compounds in the device.

Lead is a carcinogen and can cause brain damage. Despite a large amount of medical evidence, only one state, California, recognize lead based solders to be carcinogenic.

Caroline Cox is the research director with the California Center for Environmental Health.

Cox: What we really need is more systematic testing by the manufacturers and the suppliers and the retailers. So that people can really have assurance that when they buy something that the product won’t contain toxic chemicals.

Apple says it plans to eliminate PVC — polyvinyl chloride — from its products, including the headphone cables, by the end of next year. Cox says that’s not soon enough to meet California regulations and the Center will sue Apple if it doesn’t correct the problem.

I Am Legend Movie Trailer

Here we go I Am Legend, the post-apocalyptic vampire action thriller starring Will Smith, Directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine). The film opens December 14th.

Smith stars as Robert Neville, the apparently lone survivor of a virus that decimated the planet in 2012. But rising from humanity’s ashes is a breed of vampires, sensitive to light and out for Neville’s blood.

To survive the horrors that surrond him, Neville must barricade himself in his house at night, only going out during the day to hunt those who hunt him.

Hillary uncensored documentary film

Hillary Uncensored - Banned by the Media , the trailer to the new documentary about Democratic presidental frontrunner Hillary Clinton has reached mad views.
The movie allages campaign finance violations, and it will result in several screenings.

Although the video posted on google was top #1 / #top 2 it doesnt appear in any featured listing on google videos / youtube.

The preview produced by hollywood businessman Peter F. Paul was also the most viewed video on youtube in UK.

“The only way to see it is if you look for it,” Paul said. To find the video, the words “Hillary Uncensored” must be typed into the Google Video search engine.

In a written statement, Google spokesman Gabriel Stricker said, “While we don’t disclose all the specifics of how we rank videos (to prevent people from gaming the system), I can tell you that results are algorithmically based and that we look at a wide variety of information that ’s associated with each video — such as metadata.”

“This is the first documentary ever released on Hillary,” said Paul, a former Clinton friend-turned-foe, who uses his collection of home movies with the Clintons in the film. “I am the only person to ever come forward with the Clintons in their unguarded moments,” said Paul. “Hillary’s own words and actions will indict her.”

Paul is suing former President Bill Clinton and the Clintons’ business associate, Jim Levin, and Hollywood producer Gary Smith, all of whom were involved in a Hollywood fundraiser — orchestrated by Paul — for Sen. Clinton’s first Senate run in 2000.

Clinton attorney David Kendall has maintained the Clintons’ innocence and questioned the credibility of Paul, citing his previous felony convictions.

“I don’t expect anybody to just believe what I say,” Paul said. “I say ‘just look at the public record I expose.’”

“I have no recollection whatsoever of discussing any arrangement with him whereby he would support my campaign for the United States Senate in exchange for anything from me or then-President Clinton, and I do not believe I made any such statement because I believe I would remember such a discussion if it had occurred,” Clinton said in a written declaration on April 7, 2006.

Halle Berry’s Jew Joke

Hitting up all major news outlets for Things We Lost in a Fire, the pregnant Halle Berry has been giving us precious details, like how gorgeous model and baby daddy Gabriel Aubry massages her feet, how she fears she’ll have an ugly baby.Nice enough But then Halle shook things up Monday on Jay Leno’s talk show (The Tonight Show), where she made an anti-Semitic, “Here’s where I look like my Jewish cousin!” The line was cut from the aired version, and Halle immediately started issuing apologies.

She explained further: “What happened was, I was backstage before the show, and I have three girls who are Jewish who work for me. We were going through pictures to see which ones looked silly, and one of my Jewish friends said [of the big-nose picture], ‘That could be your Jewish cousin!’ And I guess it was fresh in my mind, and it just came out of my mouth. But I didn’t mean to offend anybody. I didn’t. I didn’t mean any harm.”

Berry and her boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, are expecting their first child in the spring.

Microsoft has officially announced and released its Xbox 360 Arcade game console system.
Microsoft on Tuesday officially announced the Xbox 360 Arcade, a new version of its popular video game console available at a new, lower price point, $279.99.

Lets see the features:
- HDMI connector
- 256MB onboard memory
- 5 games (Pac-Man Championship Edition, Uno, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rock and Feeding Frenzy), these games are full versions and not demos.
- Wireless controller

Thanks to the HDMI connector you can plug the device you can enjoy the experience at 1080i resolution while connected to a HDTV home entertainament solution.

Microsoft offers two other configurations of Xbox 360 for $349.99 and $449.99 respectively, both of which offer beefier storage capabilities and limited backward-compatibility with older games for the original Xbox.

Before rushing to the stores you might consider waiting a bit as Sony is coming out with its Playstation 3 model for $399, Nintendo as well is coming out with its Wii at $249.99 (tho its availability isnt as good as the others mentioned above)
